Acqui Prize was founded in 1991 with the intent to promote the area of Monferrato through the art of engraving, still today the 2013 edition looks like one more reason to love the art and Monferrato.
To honor this wonderful reality Acqui, hundreds of works participating in the 2013 Premio Acqui incision will be examined by a Jury of Acceptance chaired by Gabriella Locci and composed by important experts of graphics as Chema de Francisco, José M. Luna, Marta Rackzek, artist Enk de Kramer and the writer Pierdomenico Baccalario.

Marta Rackzek historical and art critic, researcher at the Faculty of Arts in Cracow and vice president of the Triennial in Krakow. She's consultant to Katowice Audio Art Festival in Krakow and Gdynia and New Music Society. She has curated numerous exhibitions in Poland and Italy. Editor of the journals of art and culture and Exit Odra, and even New Polish Art, Obieg, Opcje, Arteon, Zadra, is also the author of critical essays by film.
Enk de Kramer, member of the Academie Royale de Belgique Flamande pour la Science et l'Art, professor of graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gent, has exhibited his graphic works worldwide. His experimentation has created a technique "de Kramer." He's known throughout the international art also for his theories on the "reproducibility" of the graphic replaced by the "repeatability".
Gabriella Locci, Professor of Engraving and Printing Techniques at the European Institute of Design in Cagliari, president of Casa Falconieri, structure of research and experimentation in printmaking, promotes and implements workshops in Italy and abroad, is the creator of the MAT exhibition, curator of the project "The Places of the Sign", "Travelers / Viajeros." In 2010, she received the prize of the critics of Estampa "Feria Internacional de Arte Multiple Contemporary, LIV In 2011 she was invited to the Venice Biennale.
Pierdomenico Baccalario is a journalist, author and writer: author of adventure novels, he has published over 50 titles, mainly in the fantasy genre, now translated into twenty languages, is also working with the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa for innovative cultural projects intended to museum collections.

The artworks will be examined by the Jury of Acceptance which will select approximately 200 works and among them the 25 finalists, the popular jury will announce the winner of the eleventh Premio Acqui engraving and any other awards.
The Premio Acqui engraving offers 5.000 euro, the circulation in 75 copies, the publication in the catalogue published by Mazzotta, and participation in international exhibitions
The exhibition of works submitted will be exhibited from June 15 to July 7, 2013, en plein air, under the arcades of Via XX Settembre in Acqui Terme.
